According to the Canadian Sport Psychology Association (CSPA) Mental Performance Consultants (MPCs) provide individual and group consultations geared towards improving mental performance and well-being related issues through mental and emotional skills training. This can include techniques to improve focus, confidence, composure under pressure, goal setting, and more.
Anyone interested in improving their mental performance can work with an MPC.
In fact MPCs can be found working in a diverse range of contexts including sports, arts, military, first-responders, healthcare, technology, business, academics, and more.
It doesn't matter if you are performing for fun or for your profession mental performance training can be provided to people of all ages and skill levels.
Because your mind plays just as big a role in performance as your body, sometimes even more. Mental training helps you stay focused under pressure, bounce back from mistakes, manage nerves, and bring your best when it matters most. The ability to stay mentally sharp and resilient gives you a competitive edge. Just like physical skills, mental skills can be trained, strengthened, and refined, and they often make the difference between good and great.
Are you ready to start training your brain just like you train your body?
Mental skills are the tools we use to manage our thoughts, emotions, and focus, especially in challenging situations. Just like physical skills help you perform better with your body, mental skills help you perform better with your mind. • Self-Awareness
